Sowing seeds

"What seeds did you sow today?" Amma asked as we knelt down to pray. As I thought back, my mind roamed over the days happenings. I had gotten angry with my brother over something very silly. With exams looming like a brewing storm and with loads left to study, I was irritated with life in General. As I thought back to the verse Amma had mentioned, which was
Galatians 6:7-8
Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
I realised I hadnt been asking for help. I thought I could do it on my own and I had failed miserably. Instead of asking the spirit to lead me, I had given power to the flesh. If this is you today, the lord is never too far from you. A father is always willing to help a child and our heavenly Father is much loving than any father in this whole world. Ask him to help you and ask the spirit to guide you. And as you sow the seeds when you're led by the spirit, see how the Lord works and moves mountains to strengthen your faith.

It all started when I was young. If you were expecting me to talk about the cliche way of saying it, you got it wrong. Every summer since I was barely able to walk, our family would spend time among the rural villages of Tamil Nadu in the initiative to spread the love of God. Faith, to trust what you say..

  We've all been there. Gone through something that has left us hurt. If you're telling me that hasn't happened to you, I might be forced to assume you're lying. Fast forward, so did I and one of them was about letting go of my favourite friend. The one who was around for the happy times and the sad times. The break from familiarity was and is scary and I was angry and sad about letting go. But I know deep down that this was for the best and maybe in due time, god will help me understand why. There's so much I don't understand. So much I'm afraid of.. but this morning as I read my Bible, I read about how God told Abram, " Do not be afraid. I've come to realise that what I want is not what I need, especially when it comes to relationships and friendships.It's been one of the hardest realistions I've had to face because truth hurts.
