Lord remind me


Dear Lord,

Remind me that the reason I live today is because of you
Your guiding hand has seen me through.

The reason I am where I am is because of you
Remind that you make all things new.

Remind me when I'm a doctor, when I see a patient, that he/she is made in your image.
Remind me to tell them that you'll be their comfort- through the hard times,their courage.

Remind me that I'm nothing and I can't heal but you can
After all you are the god who created man.

Remind me that you are the source of all wisdom and knowledge
Especially when I'm studying, when I reach the edge.

Remind me that you're in control
Even when everything seems to be going down the hole.

Lord when I feel down
Remind me to look up 
To see my father king
Seated in the heavenly throne with a crown.

Lord remind me through the good times and the bad, to always hold on to you and trust you
At the very start of the storm as it starts to brew.

Lord help me be your light, help me be more like you
Help me to glorify you in everything I do

Lord if anyone sees who I am today and congratulate me for how far I've come, 
remind me it's all about you and not about how I've become.

Remind me that without you, I'm nothing.
You're the reason I'm even breathing
 
Help me to remember that you're always watching over me
Even when I go to pee :p

Help me to remember that you love me 
More than enough, to throw my sins deep into the sea

Remind me that you're holy
And when I get angry, to take things slowly.

Help me remember you hate sin and you hurt to see me make the wrong choices
Remind me you hurt to hear hells voices.

Help me to always come back to ask for forgiveness
Even when my sins are big and I can't see past my awfulness.

Remind me that of your promises that never fail,
Of your love that I can't ever scale 

Remind me you love me as I am
Remind me I'm your little lamb

It all started when I was young. If you were expecting me to talk about the cliche way of saying it, you got it wrong. Every summer since I was barely able to walk, our family would spend time among the rural villages of Tamil Nadu in the initiative to spread the love of God. Being a little kid meant running around and telling people about how good loves them and he's good and he's the creator of the universe. Faith, to trust what you say..

  We've all been there. Gone through something that has left us hurt. If you're telling me that hasn't happened to you, I might be forced to assume you're lying. Fast forward, so did I and one of them was about letting go of my favourite friend. The one who was around for the happy times and the sad times. The break from familiarity was and is scary and I was angry and sad about letting go. But I know deep down that this was for the best and maybe in due time, god will help me understand why. There's so much I don't understand. So much I'm afraid of.. but this morning as I read my Bible, I read about how God told Abram, " Do not be afraid. I've come to realise that what I want is not what I need, especially when it comes to relationships and friendships.It's been one of the hardest realistions I've had to face because truth hurts.
